Whitney Dow • Medomak Valley High School • Maine Senior | Class of 2017

Whitney Dow – Class of 2017 – Medomak Valley High School
Camden, Maine.

When Whitney contacted me about her senior photos, I was beyond excited. I could tell she was beautiful on the inside and could not wait to photograph her! We met in Camden on a perfect warm and beautiful night! When I first saw her, I thought to myself, “No Way!” She was absolutely stunning and looked so beautiful. I didn’t think it was real. She already looked like she belonged in a magazine! It didn’t matter what pose I put her in, she looked beautiful at every angle! Whitney’s sense of style is impeccable and gorgeous! The outfits she chose fit every part of our night. She already had planned each outfit with each scenery we had! A beautiful white lace dress for the greenery and flowers, another colorful dress to lay in front of the white hydrangeas, and my personal favorite, white pants and a blue sweater to fit with the nautical beach look! I felt that my job this time was way too easy!

Whitney is a level 8 competitive gymnast at the North Atlantic Gymnastics Academy. I can tell that it is one of her many passions in life. She seems so dedicated and excited about it! Along with her gymnast and model life figure, I also could not get enough of her eyes! What you see in these pics is all her! She has the most beautiful eyes and they just naturally pop at you! She belongs in front of a camera for sure! I also may have told her that maybe a dozen times throughout the night haha.

Whitney’s mom, Lisa came with us and didn’t we have a blast getting to know each other! Lisa and her husband own Dow Furniture in Waldoboro and have become a very successful business after many years of hard work and determination! I also found out that night that Lisa knows my mom very well through her business and networking! What a small world!! Being around this family, I felt like I was part of their family too!

Whitney is so sweet and kind hearted. Through the entire shoot I was amazed by her gentleness and her sense of humor at the same time. She had amazing visions and I can tell with her determination and imagination that her life’s journey will be amazing. She plans to attend college in Maine to become a general surgeon and has already experienced the life as a surgeon by job shadowing local hospitals! For a teenager to already be that driven and ambitious is amazing and I wish her the best of luck as her journey as a doctor starts after she graduates in June.
