“I bet on me”

Abby + Alex renewed their vows in front of their friends and family at the beautiful Harmony Hill Wedding venue in Warren, Maine.
They postponed last year due to covid but couldn’t wait any longer to get married so they tied the knot last year in Charleston, South Carolina.
Let’s go back a little to cover more of their love story. Alex proposed to Abby with their family close by in Northern Maine while they all were on vacation together!
So special and also very tough to spread the word on such an exciting time in their lives, since there isn’t a lot of good cell phone service in northern Maine!
Let’s go back even further, Alex and Abby first met in 2015 through a friend who thought they would hit it off.
Boy was she right! Apparently, Alex couldn’t stop talking about her (obviously, she’s gorgeous and the sweetest human alive!)
The first time they actually hungout was on a triple date in Freeport, Maine with Alex’s brother Ben and his girlfriend Aly (who are now also married!)
The rest is history!
Soooo, I first met these two love birds at Marshall Point Lighthouse in Port Clyde, Maine for their engagement session.
We ventured out along the beautiful rocks and trails and had a
blast getting to know each other and chatting about their wedding plans!
It was super windy but Abby rocked it and handled her hair like a pro!
They also brought along their pup, Bella! At the time of their engagement session they were living in
South Carolina while Abby attended Chiropractic school and Alex worked as a Marine Engineer.
Since then, they got another sweet pup named Lily, and Abby graduated from Chiropractic School. Isn’t she just incredible?
Planning a wedding during a pandemic as well as becoming a doctor! She’s pretty much superwoman!
The following year, I held my annual Lupine Mini sessions and asked Abby and Alex to join me and we took so many amazing photos! I’m not sure anyone else looks at their
So even though Abby and Alex were married last year, this was their true celebration that they had waited so long for.
Don Carpenter, a special friend and role model to Alex was the officiant and what a personal and intimate ceremony it was.
He spoke of their past, present and future together. It was truly beautiful.
It goes to show how special it is to have someone you know in life, share in this day with you.
Abby and Alex truly have the most down to earth and special friendships.
Their friends and family would do anything for them and they would do the same for their friends and family.
You couldn’t get many of them off the dance floor! Alex’s mom and aunts wrote and sang a special tribute song to them that had everyone in stitches. Apparently this is a tradition with all family member weddings!
Oh and who could forget the special drinks they named after their pups?
“Bella-Rita” and “Lily Lemonade”
Abby and Alex share a tattoo together that says ” I bet on me”.
These two can and will take on the world together no matter what life throws at them.
What an honor it has been to be in their lives and to be able to capture their special day for them.
